Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus II Mods Guide

Lead immortal Necrons or devoted Tech-Priests through a brutal tactical war where metal, faith, and cold calculation decide every victory.

Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus II Mods: Command The Machine War explores how community modifications can reshape combat, campaign progression, resource management, and squad development in Bulwark Studios’ turn-based strategy RPG. Released on May 21, 2026, Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus II expands the original game by allowing players to command either the techno-religious Adeptus Mechanicus or the ancient Necron legions. Each faction receives its own narrative campaign, tactical identity, leaders, units, and strategic objectives. Battles reward careful positioning, efficient use of abilities, and a strong understanding of how each army interacts with the environment. Outside combat, players capture regions, defend territory, manage resources, strengthen characters, and prepare forces for future missions. The current Modsportal collection is still small, but its first available addition already gives commanders extensive control over combat difficulty and campaign progression.

Two Factions, Two Very Different Wars

The sequel presents the same planetary conflict from opposing perspectives.

Magos Dominus Faustinius returns to lead the Adeptus Mechanicus against another awakening Necron threat. His forces combine ritualized technology, mechanical augmentation, ranged firepower, and carefully managed battlefield resources. The Necron campaign follows Vargard Nefershah as she awakens her dynasty and attempts to remove the invaders occupying her crownworld.

These factions are not simple visual alternatives. Mechanicus units can use terrain as cover, creating protected routes and firing positions. Necron forces can destroy obstacles, removing defensive advantages and exposing enemies who believed themselves safe. This contrast encourages players to change their tactics when moving between campaigns.

Mods can make those campaigns more flexible by adjusting damage, movement, resources, cooldowns, or progression systems.

Blessings Of Mars II Cheat Mod

Blessings of Mars II is currently the only modification listed for Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus II on Modsportal. It provides an in-game menu containing several optional cheats and campaign adjustments. The menu opens with the F7 key, and most settings can be switched on or off during play. Some options may require a reload before their effects become active.

One of its most powerful features prevents player-controlled units from taking ordinary combat damage. This can help newcomers learn enemy behavior, mission objectives, and ability combinations without losing valuable units after a small positioning mistake.

The mod can also remove skill cooldowns and prevent Cognition from decreasing when abilities or Canticles are used. This allows players to experiment with attacks and support skills more freely instead of carefully conserving every resource point. Leader movement can still consume Cognition, so the system is not removed from every part of combat.

Customize Damage, Movement, And Rewards

Blessings of Mars II includes several adjustable multipliers rather than relying only on fixed cheats.

The player damage multiplier changes how much combat damage friendly units inflict. Increasing it can shorten difficult encounters, while a carefully chosen value may help struggling players without making every enemy irrelevant.

A movement multiplier expands the distance units can travel, creating more opportunities to reach objectives, surround enemies, or escape dangerous positions. The mission reward multiplier increases the main rewards granted after completing a mission, although bonus rewards are not included.

Players can also modify Cognition generation and determine the minimum amount available when a battle or skirmish begins. These options are useful for testing character builds because they provide faster access to expensive abilities.

Control Campaign Pressure

The wider campaign introduces strategic pressures that continue between individual battles. Regions must be captured or defended, resources must be managed, and garrisons must be prepared for future attacks. Mechanicus commanders attempt to slow the awakening of the Necron dynasty, while Necron players rebuild their power and reclaim occupied territory.

Blessings of Mars II can freeze the global Necron awakening level and prevent Vigilance from increasing through mission choices or Stratagems. It can also remove the cost of character technology upgrades, although a character may still need at least one available point before a new upgrade can be selected.

These features allow players to explore the campaign more slowly, test different mission routes, or develop unusual squads without feeling pressured by escalating systems.

Build Your Mechanical Court

Both playable armies offer customizable leaders and supporting forces. Faustinius commands an entourage of Tech-Priests, while Nefershah develops a court of Necron nobles. Different units can emphasize firepower, durability, mobility, or specialized battlefield functions.

A force built to defend one location may perform poorly in a mission that rewards speed. Likewise, a heavily offensive squad can struggle when survival and territory control become more important than eliminating enemies.

Cheat and progression mods provide a safe environment for testing these combinations. Players can compare weapons, abilities, movement ranges, and upgrade paths before committing to a demanding campaign.

Install The Mod Carefully

Blessings of Mars II requires MelonLoader. The uploader recommends installing MelonLoader, then extracting the mod archive into the main Mechanicus II game folder. The modification is only 10 KB, but players should still back up important saves before altering game files.

Install one modification at a time and test it on a separate save. Confirm that battles, upgrades, campaign events, and mission rewards behave correctly before returning to a primary playthrough.

Because the game may receive updates, always check the mod page for version notes or new compatibility reports.

Modsportal currently lists one mod, no tools, and no articles for the game, so the collection is still at an early stage. More additions may appear as creators learn how to modify units, interfaces, progression systems, and campaign mechanics.
