Remnant 2 is an adventure shooter RPG set in a post-apocalyptic world where players must use both ranged and melee combat to defeat enemies and bosses. There are different Archetypes to choose from, each with its own abilities and playstyles to cater to player preferences.
Players who pre-ordered Remnant 2 can use one of the strongest and most popular archetypes, Gunslinger, a damage-focused build with benefits for quick reloads and efficient ammo usage. However, if you are not one of those who pre-ordered the game, you need to unlock Gunslinger.
Unlocking Gunslinger Archetype in Remnant 2
To unlock the Gunslinger, you will need to progress through the main story of the game until you obtain the Root Earth and interact with an NPC named Mudtooth, the old guy in the rocking chair.
Upon interacting with him, he’ll give you a number of useful items, including the Gunslinger Ring and a Gunslinger Charm. Most importantly, though, Mudtooth will tell you a few stories about himself. After listening to a few of these, you will need to come back and ask him about his stories again until he runs out of them.
In doing so, you will be rewarded with the Worn Cylinder. This is a battered barrel of a revolver firearm, and it’s essential in unlocking the Gunslinger Archetype. However, you won’t be able to craft this item on your own, as the weapon needs a few other items to be made.
These other items are fairly easy to acquire. Scraps, which function as the main in-game currency, can be found fairly easily by exploring the different Worlds of Remnant 2.
Meanwhile, Lumenite crystals are much harder to find and require you to defeat some of the tougher enemies and bosses in the game. To make the iron cylinder, you will need to bring the worn cylinder along with 10 Lumenite crystals and 1000 scrap.
Putting this all together will allow you to craft the Iron Cylinder Engram, unlocking the Gunslinger as an Archetype for your character. You can then equip the engram and enjoy the powerful benefits of the class.
If you already have the Gunslinger, then you can totally skip this whole procedure and immediately gain access to the class. This is a fantastic alternative for gamers who are eager to jump into the fray without having to dedicate a lot of time to leveling up in a different Archetype.
Regardless of how you unlock it, though, the Gunslinger is a solid choice for players who prefer high damage and fast reload times. With the Gunslinger, players can be a powerhouse of a character that can take down any foe in the game.
