Pokemon Go Developer, Niantic, is About to Release Another AR Game Titled Peridot

Do you remember when people were running around with their phones, looking for digital creatures? I think you all know which game we are talking about. The game that took over the world is called Pokemon Go. Almost every channel on Youtube made a video while playing. Pokemon Go was a huge success. Integrating real-life with video games wasn’t new. But doing it on mobile phones, where everyone can join in, was something new. The same developers behind this game are working on a new title: Peridot. As producer Ziah Fogel says, Niantic will be releasing a game that is going to appeal to a wide range of audiences. Without further ado, here is all we know about it.

Peridot is a real-world AR mobile game where you raise your one-of-a-kind pet. When we say pet, we mean Peridots. They are cute and colorful beasts with their own personalities. You will find the feeling of bonding and caring in this game.

In the Peridot, you will have needs and desires like any pet you have in real life. The developers went all the way about this. They might want to walk to a particular place or eat a particular food. Developers also stated that Peridots could interact with real-life surfaces. For example, a Peridot digging sand in one of the screenshots Niantic released. You can also take photos of your pet and share them on social media. We might see creative and cute images when the game releases.

We assume you are wondering, “Will there be microtransactions?” As you can guess, Niantic stated that there will be in-app purchases. These in-app purchases will feature faster growth for your pet or more comfortable breading in particular places or habitats. Because the game is not competitive, these will not have an unfair effect on the gameplay.

Overall, we are very excited about its launch. A game where you breed and raise a pet in real life sounds very sci-fi. It’s fascinating to see how much gaming has evolved in twenty years. From AR Quake to Pokemon Go

Niantic is planning a soft launch on the AppStore and Google Play. In the upcoming days, we will be waiting for more information about the game. What do you think about Peridots? Will Niantic succeed once again and shake the whole world? Let us know in the comments.
