The Simpsons: Hit & Run Had Influenced by GTA3

The Simpsons: Hit & Run may be one of the most notable and successful Simpsons games that most players enjoyed. Recently, the developers and producers announced that they were highly influenced by GTA3 during the development stage.

It is worth noting that The Simpsons: Hit & Run’s lead game designer, Joe McGinn, announced that they will start working on a remake of the game by using Unreal Engine 5. If you have played the game, you might be suspicious about some similarities between the GTA series and The Simpsons: Hit & Run.

Three developers of the game, Nigel BrookeSteve Bocksa, and Christopher Mitchell, admitted that they were inspired by GTA3 during the development and thought process of the game. They even said that there would be no The Simpsons: Hit & Run, if there was no GTA3. The developer team started the development by replicating the areas in GTA3 according to the elements in Springfield town.

In addition to this, they noted that they had great trouble driving AI. This was one of the challenges they had to overcome during the test plays of the game. Another problem that they experienced was the feel of the game. They had to decide whether the game would be about driving around and completing missions or getting out of the car and completing them.

Eventually, the team decided to make it get out of the car and do a missions game, which managed to separate The Simpsons: Hit & Run from GTA3. However, the developers do not deny the major influence of GTA3 on their games.

If you were a fan of The Simpsons: Hit & Run, the news about the remake may make your day and let you enjoy your time as you used to do. We are pretty excited about the future announcements and the new remake game.
