Unfortunately, we have bad news for The Legend of Zelda lovers! The long-awaited The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 has recently been delayed to 2023. We all learned this unfortunate news from a video update that was posted by the producer, Eiji Aonuma.
The unnamed The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild sequel game was going to be released somewhere in 2022. However, Eiji Aonuma recently announced that they had to postpone the game to spring 2023. This is one of the common problems in the gaming industry since the pandemic adversely affected the plans of studios.
Aonuma also noted that the main reason for this delay is that they need extra time to work on the game to offer a unique gaming experience to players. They kindly asked fans to wait a bit longer to enjoy a better game.
The game was announced back in 2019 by Nintendo. They noted that the studio is working on an unnamed The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild sequel game. In addition to this, we learned more about this new game at E3 2021 than in the previous year. This was also the time when we learned that the game was going to be released in 2022.
In this promotion, we had the chance to learn more about gameplay elements as well as an open-world image of Hyrule. The fact that the name of the new sequel has not been announced still leaves a question mark for many players.

However, we are sure that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 will be released in spring 2023. Nintendo will do its best to not disappoint its players once again.
