Games Announced at Xbox and Bethesda Showcase

Xbox and Bethesda put on a live event titled “Showcase” on Sunday. This event lasted more than 90 minutes and was full of news, trailers, and announcements from Xbox Game Studios, Bethesda Games, and third-party game development studios. The Xbox Showcase 2022 event included Activision Blizzard, which Microsoft acquired in a $68.7 billion deal.

So many new games that make gamers happy are announced at the Xbox Showcase, which is held with Bethesda. So we can say that the entire Showcase focused on games that we will be able to play within two years. Let’s take a look at all these games.


Redfall is an open-world co-op FPS game that is being developed by Arkane Austin, which is the developer studio of successful titles Prey and Dishonored. You’ll try to fend off bloodthirsty enemies in a small town named Redfall in Massachusetts. An extended gameplay trailer for the game was revealed at the Showcase event. Redfall’s release was recently delayed to 2023.

Hollow Knight: Silksong

Hollow Knight: Silksong is a platformer game where you try to survive by fighting and hunting. The game will be available on Xbox Game Pass as soon as it is released. Platformer game lovers have been waiting for this game for a long time, so the waiting period seems to be ending soon. But, there is still no release date for the game.

High on Life

High on Life is an exclusive game for the Xbox platform. The game is being developed by the same developers of the popular show Rick and Morty, which raises expectations for the game. As soon as High on Life is released, the game will be available on Xbox Game Pass.

A Plague Tale: Requiem

After the successful first game named “A Plague Tale: Innocence,” Focus Entertainment will release a sequel to the story under the name “A Plague Tale: Requiem.” At the event, a new trailer was revealed, and it was also announced that the game will be on Xbox Game Pass in the future.

Forza Motorsport

Forza Motorsport is going to be another title in Xbox Game Studios‘ beloved racing game series Forza. The game is expected to be released in the spring of 2023 and will be available on Xbox Game Pass as soon as it is released.

Forza Horizon 5

Besides announcing a new title for the Forza series, Xbox Games Studios also announced that Forza Horizon 5 is getting a new DLC called Hot Wheels on July 19.

Microsoft Flight Simulator

Microsoft Flight Simulator will get a version called “40th Anniversary.” This will include new airplanes and other goodies for the franchise’s 40th anniversary.

Overwatch 2

Blizzard Entertainment’s legendary game Overwatch’s sequel, Overwatch 2, release date reveal at the Showcase event. The game will be released in October and be free-to-play when it launches.

ARA: History Untold

A real-time turn-based strategy game, ARA: History Untold, was announced at the Showcase. The game is being developed by Oxide Games.

The Elder Scrolls Online: High Isle

The new chapter of The Elder Scrolls Online, High Isle, is coming to Xbox and PC on June 21.

Fallout 76: The Pitt

Fallout 76 is one of the most anticipated games these days. The game was already announced and is going to be released in September. But a new gameplay trailer was shown during the event.


Ark 2, which stands out with its superior graphics, will be released in 2023. The game will be available on Game Pass from day one.


Scorn is a first-person shooter horror game. The release date for the game and a trailer were revealed at the event. The game will be released on October 22.

Flintlock: Siege of Dawn

An open-world RPG where we join the story of Nor and Enki, Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn, was announced with a gameplay trailer. Early access will be available in 2023.

Minecraft Legends

The most beloved sandbox game, Minecraft‘s new title, Minecraft Legends, was announced. The game is being developed by Mojang and will be released in 2023 for PCs and Xbox.

Lightyear Frontier

Lightyear Frontier is a farming simulator and will be released in the spring of 2023. The game will initially be released as early access and be available on Xbox Game Pass.

Gunfire Reborn

It was announced with the trailer above that Gunfire Reborn is coming to Game Pass.

The Last Case of Benedict Fox

The Last Case of Benedict Fox is a platformer game where you are going to solve mysteries as a detective named Benedict Fox. The game will be released in spring 2023.

As Dusk Falls

The interactive drama game “As Dusk Falls” is about family secrets. You can play the game with yourself or up to eight players. The game will launch on July 19.

Nakara: Bladepoint

Initially released in the previous year for PCs, Nakara Bladepoint is coming to Xbox Series X|S and Game Pass on July 23.


Pentiment is a new story-driven platformer game from Obsidian Entertainment. The game is set in 16th-century Bavaria and will be released in 2023.


Another new game from Obsidian, Grounded, was in early access, and it was announced that the game’s finished version will be released on September 22, 2022.

Ereban: Shadow Legacy

Developed by Robot Games, Ereban: Shadow Legacy is a platformer game where you play as Ayana, who is the last survivor of her forgotten kind.

Diablo 4

After Diablo Immortal was released for PCs and Mobile, the developer company started to develop Diablo 4, which is the next necromancer. The game has no release date yet, but it is expected to be released sometime in 2023.

Sea of Thieves

At the Showcase event, Sea of Thieves was announced their seventh season with the trailer above.


Action-fairytale game Ravenlok will be released in 2023 and be available on Xbox Game Pass.


Created by Jeppe Carlsen, Cocoon, the new action-mystery game, was officially announced with the trailer above.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty

The monster hunting game Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty will be released in 2023 and available on Game Pass, as well.

Persona Collection

The beloved franchise Persona will finally be released for PCs and Xbox. The collection will include some PlayStation-exclusive games like Persona 3, Persona 4, and Persona 5 Royal. Persona Collection is expected to be released this year.


Maybe the most anticipated game on this list is Starfield. Being developed by Bethesda, Starfield is an RPG set in space. Although there is so much content about the game right now, the company added an extended gameplay trailer to this content list during the event. We were hoping to see an exact release date for the game.

Riot Games’ Xbox Game Pass Partnership

Besides announcing new games at the Showcase event, a new partnership with Riot Games, the publishing company of popular titles such as League of Legends and Valorant, was also announced. This means that players will be able to play games published by Riot Games through Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass.

Hideo Kojima Xbox Partnership

Hideo Kojima, the developer of Metal Gear Solid and Death Stranding, will be collaborating with Xbox Game Studios. These two companies are working on a project that doesn’t have a name yet.
