Ratopia is a brand-new adventure with an immersive blend of strategic survival, sandbox creativity, and city-building simulation. The game revolves around establishing an economic system to sustain your ideal city of Ratopia, with citizens called Ratizens, who each have their own wealth and characteristics. Basically, you’re creating a system for rats, and you will try to maintain your citizens’ happiness and meet their needs.
You can manage your Ratizens, who have unique wealth levels and individual characteristics, to maintain a balanced society and explore the Underworld to uncover ancient rat remnants and embark on expeditions.
However, there are some comments about resource management clarity and minor bugs that hinder smooth progression. Despite these issues, Ratopia offers players a captivating journey filled with strategic depth and engaging challenges. I think it is a pretty good game, actually, despite some minor things.
Ratopia Available Platforms
Ratopia was developed by Cassel Games and launched on November 6th, 2023, as an early access release for PC via Steam. This is the second work from developer Cassel Games, following 2021’s deck-building tower defense title Ratropolis, which also reached early access and received a very positive rating in Steam user reviews. The game has received a positive response so far, with the Steam user reviews achieving a “very positive” status.
