If you’re interested in playing a narrative-driven sci-fi adventure game set shortly, The Invincible could be worth checking out. This game, developed by Starward Industries and published by 11-bit Studios, has been getting a lot of attention lately, and it’s easy to see why. The Invincible has a great atmosphere and looks pretty promising so far.
In The Invincible, you play as Yasna, a scientist on board a spaceship that’s investigating the disappearance of its sister ship on the distant planet Regis III. As she explores a rocky valley strewn with abandoned vehicles and wrecked robots, she begins to uncover mysteries that challenge her beliefs about humanity’s place in the universe.
The Invincible is a slow game — literally and narratively — which works well for a story like this. The characters and world are carefully built up, and you get to ponder their motivations throughout your time in the game.
This game has been receiving a lot of positive feedback from critics, and it’s easy to see why. It’s a fascinating look at a future world that feels very real, and the team behind the game has a history of working on high-quality projects.
