Xbox Game Pass October 2023 Games offer a diverse lineup of day-one releases and unique indie experiences. First, a turn-based tactical adventure called The Lamplighter’s League will see you jumping between different worlds inside of orbs you can carry. Then, WB’s open-world action RPG Gotham Knights will take you to the streets of Gotham, where you can fight Batman and the Bat Family against a new group of villains.

Other releases to watch out for in the Xbox Game Pass October 2023 lineup are Forza Motorsport, the eighth mainline game in Turn 10 Studios’ racing franchise, Cities Skylines 2, a city-building sim sequel Cities Skylines, and Mineko’s Night Market, a social simulation about Japanese culture.

The Lamplighters League – October 3

The Lamplighters League is a strategic game that operates on a turn-based system. The game is crafted by the renowned Harebrained Schemes, known for their brilliant work on Shadowrun Trilogy and Battletech and published by Paradox Interactive. It is set in an alternate 1930s era and requires players to build a team of unconventional characters to combat an oppressive cult that seeks to dominate the world.

Players will be responsible for managing their team’s resources, recruiting new members, and deploying them on missions across various exciting locations such as docks, deserts, and urban jungles. Each mission will offer a unique experience with dynamically generated maps. Before engaging in combat, players can survey the battlefield in real-time, identifying enemy positions, cover, and items to give themselves an advantageous position.

Warhammer 40.000 Darktide – October 4

On October 4, Warhammer 40,000 Darktide will be released on consoles. This co-op shooter is set in Games Workshop’s Warhammer universe and has already been available on PC for a year. Reviews for the PC version were mixed, but Fatshark, the developer, has been working hard to address the game’s issues by releasing numerous patches. Gamers can expect the console version to be an improved experience thanks to these updates.

You can find more about the Warhammer 40,000 Darktide on Lawod.

Forza Motorsport – October 10

The much-anticipated Forza Motorsport game from Turn 10 Studios is set to debut on October 10. The eighth installment in the popular racing franchise was initially announced last year and will be available for play on both Xbox Series X/S and PC via the exclusive subscription service, Xbox Game Pass.

Unlike the Forza Horizon games, which offer a more exaggerated and arcade-like driving experience, Forza Motorsport provides a genuine racing simulator. This means there is no racing against massive planes or conquering floating Hot Wheels tracks. Instead, you will have the opportunity to become the champion of 20 real-world race tracks – 5 of which are new to the franchise – and can select from a range of over 500 real-world cars. And that’s just the number of vehicles available at launch!

Cities Skylines 2 – October 24

In the city-building sim sequel Cities Skylines, developers Colossal and Paradox Interactive are going for an epic scale. The day-one launch for the game on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC will be a huge upgrade over the original with new features like dynamic weather.

Cities Skylines 2 promises to be an exciting evolution over its predecessor. Leaked achievements reveal that players will have access to 150 map tiles in a single city, which is a significant increase from the original game’s nine tiles. Additionally, weather conditions such as hailstorms, tornadoes, and forest fires, which were previously only available through DLC packs, will now be standard features. The game also boasts a unique simulation experience where players can follow the lifepath of a citizen from childhood to old age, adding an unprecedented level of depth to the game.

Mineko’s Night Market – October 26

A cozy business simulation from Meowza Games and Humble Games, Mineko’s Night Market, sees you playing as a young girl tasked with revitalizing a sleepy night market.

The game is a social simulation adventure game that celebrates Japanese culture and introduces a heartwarming story about friendship, tradition, and many, many cats.

You will play Mineko, a curious girl who has just arrived at her new home on a struggling Japanese-inspired island at the base of mysterious Mount Fugu. You will be able to discover the secrets of the island while managing your daily life, completing various jobs, venturing on whimsical quests, and crafting peculiar items in preparation for the town’s weekly Night Market!

Headbangers Rhythm Royale – October 31

Glee-Cheese and Team17 are bringing their wacky take on the battle royale to Xbox Game Pass with Headbangers Rhythm Royale

This music-themed party game is similar to Fall Guys but features pigeons instead, and it offers cross-platform online multiplayer functionality, which allows you to challenge 29 other players using your preferred console. The Headbangers levels are designed to be exciting and unique, with 23 different mini-games spread across four rounds, each one presenting a fresh musical challenge. As the game progresses, each round becomes more challenging, building up to a final round with a frenzied musical atmosphere. Stay calm and focused to succeed and come out on top!

You can also customize your pigeon with hundreds of unique options that you can purchase using breadcrumbs you earn in-game and enjoy bespoke music throughout the game.

Jusant – October 31

Jusant is a new game that combines action and puzzle elements. Its gameplay takes players on a journey to the peak of a towering structure, offering them a chance to challenge themselves at their own pace, explore diverse routes, and uncover the secrets of a long-forgotten civilization.

The highly anticipated video game will make its debut on October 31, hitting major gaming platforms such as PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Additionally, Jusant will be readily available on Xbox Game Pass from day one, offering players a convenient way to access the game.
