Recently owned by Microsoft, Bethesda has delayed their most promising titles, Starfield and Redfall, to the first half of 2023.
The delay news was published on Bethesda’s official Twitter account. The announcement explains that developer teams need more time to release these promising titles’ best and most polished versions.
“We’ve made the decision to delay the launches of Redfall and Starfield to the first half of 2023. We can’t wait to share our first deep dive into the gameplay for both Redfall and Starfield soon.”
Redfall is an open-world co-op FPS that was announced last year, and it was expected to be released sometime this summer. Redfall is also being developed by Arkane Austin. As many of you know, the team behind Redfall is the same award-winning team behind Prey and Dishonored.
Starfield is an action role-playing sci-fi game that takes place in space. The game is being developed by Bethesda Softworks, and it was revealed four years ago. The game was expected to be released in November of this year.
However, we can say that the release dates for both promising titles are still unclear. We are looking forward to seeing a deep-dive look at these games. Considering the announcement, they might show up at the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase on June 12.
