F1 Manager 2023, the latest entry in Frontier Developments’ factory-to-track management sim series, will launch on July 31. Those purchasing the Deluxe Edition can start playing four days early and get access to exclusive scenarios. Here is everything we know about F1 Manager 2023 so far:
This year’s title boasts a slew of new features that are meant to make the game more immersive and realistic. This includes a visor camera view that mimics what real-life F1 broadcasters use, a new tire temperature model that makes those vital pit stop decisions more challenging, and a sporting director role that allows you to train the pit crew so they can shave those important tenths of a second off every stop. It also has a reworked contract system that places more emphasis on F2 and F3 drivers, as well as smarter AI. You can also get a glimpse of the new Las Vegas circuit by playing a special pre-launch scenario.
Race Replay is the Biggest Improvement in F1 Manager 2023
This year’s F1 Manager 2023 will also have new Race Replay modes that recreate real-world Formula 1 races. By using the data taken from actual races, it’s designed to bring you closer to the action by dropping you into a full Grand Prix that replicates the track conditions and driver starting positions of the real thing or Race Moments, which drops you in part-way through a race and asks you to achieve a specific objective before the chequered flag is shown. It also promises an improved in-race action with greater racing line variation and pit crew training based on experience and tyre temperature simulation.
While the lack of multiplayer is still a disappointment for many, it’s a small price to pay for what will be the most realistic Formula 1 management sim yet. If you’re interested in grabbing F1 Manager 2023, it’s available to pre-order digitally on Steam and the Epic Games Store for PCs, on PS Store for PS5 and PS4, and on Xbox Store for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One now.
