The wait for the next entry in Capcom’s fighting game franchise was over, and fans can now take to the streets again after the launch of Street Fighter 6 on June 2, 2023. The company is offering a handful of different editions to choose from in addition to the normal package; the Ultimate Edition and the Deluxe Edition. But which edition is right for you?
The Ultimate and Deluxe editions of Street Fighter 6 come with the year one character pass, giving players access to A.K.I, Rashid, and Ed when released throughout the first year after launch.
Both editions also offer a ton of additional cosmetic items that can be used to customize your character.
Which Version of Street Fighter 6 Should You Buy?
The answer to this question will largely depend on how much time you plan to spend with the game and what additional content you want.
The Deluxe Edition is a good option for those who know they’ll play the game a lot, as it comes with a few extras like costumes and the first season of DLC characters.
The Ultimate Edition, on the other hand, offers a much more robust experience for those that are willing to invest more in the game. This version comes with the year one character pass, all of the existing DLC characters, two additional stages, and a ton of Drive Tickets.
If you’re unsure of which version to pick, consider the fact that you can always return the Ultimate Edition if you aren’t satisfied with the content it offers or if you decide to play the Deluxe Edition and end up wanting more characters or costumes.
Additionally, if you’re a super fan and are willing to pay the premium price for the Ultimate Edition, this option is definitely worth it. With four new characters, a ton of cosmetics, and a year’s worth of DLC, this edition is definitely the best choice for any true fighting game fan.
However, you can also purchase a standard version and get the base game with some nice bonuses if you’re not ready to commit just yet.
