Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty Review

When Cyberpunk 2077 debuted in 2013, it looked like the game of a lifetime. Now, the game has its only and first expansion, Phantom Liberty. Check out to learn more about the Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty.

It has been three years since Cyberpunk 2077 had a rough start with full of bugs. The developers had rough times working to fix its issues, improve gameplay, and eliminate bugs. But today, we are talking about something exciting and something that makes the game even more immersive: Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty expansion.

Phantom Liberty expansion made the original game great and added even more depth and complexity to the world of Night City, making it even more immersive and enjoyable for players.

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty is a story of high-stakes infiltration missions, multilayered secret agendas, and verbal sparring that makes you wish you could pull up a chair to join a conversation. It’s an expansion that has all the hallmarks of a sci-fi classic, with a pronounced sense of wit and an equal flair for intimate character drama and showpiece action sequences. No mission better exemplifies this than the one where you’ll sneak into Hansen’s Black Sapphire skyscraper to attend a high-society shindig in its casino penthouse and the following climactic fight.

A New District of Night City: Dogtown

Night City is a place where corrupt businessmen can thrive, opportunistic mercenaries can snap necks, tough gangsters can make a killing, and people on the bottom rung of society can live in poverty with no hope of climbing out of it. But it isn’t exactly anarchist, with government-instituted elitism and centralized currency keeping a tight grip on power.

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty opens up a new area of Night City, a section called Dogtown. It’s a southwestern district of Pacifica that’s walled off from the rest of Watson, and it seems to be one of the most dangerous parts of town.

Adding a new section to the Night City makes the new expansion really interesting and exciting because it uses a lot of familiar story types like crime dramas, sci-fi, and spy thrillers. But it doesn’t seem like it’s just copying those stories – it takes the main character’s race against time really seriously. It’s cool that the game studio is trying out different kinds of stories while still keeping the game exciting and intense.

The Storyline Continues Where It Left

Cyberpunk 2077 is a video game set in a futuristic and dangerous world. It was inspired by a popular tabletop role-playing game and offers a dark and vivid experience that many gamers find appealing as a form of entertainment. Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty expansion is a return to that vision.

Its story takes V into the deadly walled region of Coastview, a combat zone patrolled by an armed militia and a general who doesn’t take kindly to scavengers.

The main quest of Phantom Liberty picks up where the end of Cyberpunk 2077 left off. After a betrayal from the Corpos, V must figure out how to get Johnny Silverhand out of their brain. This leads them to the Pacifica District, based on the southwestern corner of the map.

This theme resonates in Phantom Liberty, as the DLC expands on Johnny Silverhand (Keanu Reeves) and his anarchist philosophy. It’s a self-contained story that feels more precise in its ambitions and more precisely elevates the base game’s own themes than its open-world glut did.

Another Hollywood Star Plays A Character in Cyberpunk 2077 With Phantom Liberty Expansion

Aside from addition to the story, the most significant thing that sets Phantom Liberty apart is its castings. Idris Elba‘s government agent, Reed, is a revelation. He has an earthy charisma that belies a mercurial moral compass.

With Idris Elba’s impressive acting skills and CD Projekt Red’s facial animation technology, it’s easy to get lost in the 20-hour story and believe that he’s actually right beside you.

A New Way to Play: New Gameplay Futures Makes The Game Even More Exciting

It’s not just new districts and plot lines that bring Phantom Liberty to life; a whole host of changes improve the core gameplay. For example, the conversation system now displays an icon beneath each dialogue option to indicate the minimum required Attribute value. If you hit that, you can choose to pour points into the relevant category — Body, Reflexes, Technical Ability, and Intelligence.

Phantom Liberty overhauls the gameplay in several significant ways. A big one is the introduction of vehicle combat. It’s still not exactly deep, but it adds a bit of variety to the game’s battle system and makes it feel more rounded.

Another notable update is a revamp of the skill tree system, which now encourages players to build hybrid builds that blend melee and ranged attacks with stealth and gadgetry. The reworking of the skill tree is also a boon to players who enjoy mixing and matching abilities, and the fact that the new systems are built around this flexibility makes them more satisfying to use.

Finally, the DLC also adds an edge meter that keeps track of your closeness to cyberpsychosis, adding a new level of tension to the game’s already-sharp combat. All of these changes combine to create a DLC that’s a must-play for anyone who enjoyed the original game.
