Sonic is a franchise that has long been willing to experiment with its gameplay and move beyond the basic run, roll, and jump formula. However, the latest entry to the series, The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog, is a bit different.
The team behind the Sonic social game The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog has made a lighthearted murder mystery visual novel. Unlike some of the series’ other cringe-worthy stories, this one actually has some genuine laughs.
The game opens on the Mirage Express, a top-of-the-line smart train. Its giddy birthday girl Amy Rose has invited several friends to a murder mystery party.
You take on the role of a quokka (you’re prompted to assign the character a name at the beginning) who joins Amy Rose’s murder-mystery birthday train ride. You can explore environments, searching for clues and presenting them to the other characters on board.
As the game progresses, you will have to uncover clues and solve puzzles in order to find out who killed Sonic the Hedgehog. But who was it, and what exactly happened on the Mirage Express?
The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog Endings
The game begins with the player aboard the Mirage Express, a top-of-the-line smart train that offers event packages. It’s Amy Rose’s birthday, and she’s putting on a special party aboard the train for her guests. She’s invited a mix of high-profile Sonic characters, including Rouge and Shadow, along with more secondary characters like Blaze and Vector.
After a brief introduction, the party begins. However, it’s not long before everyone notices that Sonic hasn’t shown up to join them. Amy and Vector go to find him, and they’re shocked to discover that he is unconscious.
After a bit of investigation, the quokka reveals that Espio is the main suspect, much to Vector’s surprise.
Who is the Killer in The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog
Espio claims that the evil Doctor Eggman, the main antagonist in the Sonic franchise, is to blame for the “death” in its entirety. Eggman made the decision that this was the ideal time to set a bounty on his adversary in order to eliminate him. Who is the true antagonist in this situation? The robotic train itself, which provided Epsio with the blow dart.
The train was created by Doctor Eggman. After being taken to Eggman’s base with the rest of the group, Sonic miraculously makes a full recovery and manages to attack and obliterate the corrupted train. The group buys a delicious cake to celebrate Amy’s birthday after the mystery has been solved. So it turns out Sonic wasn’t really killed after all, and he saves the day!
