The Planet Crafter is a thrilling survival and terraforming game set on a desolate alien planet. The game offers a dynamically generated world with each new game, but the key elements and locations maintain consistent coordinates that you can learn to navigate.
The Planet Crafter map is not just a tool; it’s a vital component of your survival strategy. It displays various biomes, resource points, and artifacts necessary for your planet’s transformation.
At first glance, The Planet Crafter map might seem overwhelming due to its vast size and limited visibility of important locations. But it is really easy to understand and find the locations.
How to Unlock The Planet Crafter Map?
The Planet Crafter differs from other games of its genre in that it doesn’t present you with a complete map at the beginning. Instead, you must explore the planet and discover specific items that reveal sections of the map to you.
To begin the process of unlocking The Planet Crafter map, you need to find a GPS Satellite device, which is usually located in abandoned outposts or hidden supply caches. Once you have found a GPS device, it integrates with your suit’s systems and gradually uncovers the map as you explore new areas.
To unlock The Planet Crafter Map, there are several ways you can achieve it. You can loot a Rocket Engine or attain 175.00 kTI in Terraforming to unlock the recipe. Unlocking the Launch Platform requires reaching 345.00 kTI in Terraforming. Another way to unlock the map is by finding and using Blueprint Microchips, which will unlock the GPS Satellite T1 and the Map Screen.
Once you have unlocked the GPS Satellite T1, you can launch it into orbit, and then build a Map Screen in the desired area to see the map. However, keep in mind that this will only give you a limited view of the immediate area. To expand the size of the map, you can upgrade by launching higher tiers of GPS satellites as you progress through the game.
How to Find Locations in The Planet Crafter with Coordinates?
Learning how to use coordinates is crucial for easily navigating on The Planet Crafter map. Every location on the planet has a unique set of coordinates that you can enter into your GPS to get directions.
You can find these coordinates on your HUD and take note of them for future reference. It’s important to keep an eye on the latitude and longitude readings on your screen as you move to effectively use coordinates. This feature is extremely useful for revisiting previously discovered resource-rich sites or completing specific quests.
