The keys you need are located in several different places, and finding them can be tricky. Sons of The Forest Keycard Locations
Sons of The Forest is a challenging survival game that takes you into the world’s wilds. Those brave enough to explore will find plenty of secrets to uncover. Some of these secrets are hidden underground bunkers – which will give you access to new weapons and supplies that can help you win the game.
Finding these secret underground bunkers and facilities is the key to unlocking more of the story, but you need to know where to go first. That’s where the three keycards – Maintenance, VIP, and Guest – come in handy.
The Sons of The Forest key cards are marked on the map with green POI markers, which you can see as soon as you pick up your GPS tracker. These markers aren’t just your starting points; they also open a series of important doors and lead you to some of the more exciting locations in the game.
Maintenance Keycard
The Maintenance Keycard is the first one you’ll need to get through the main game’s storyline. This will allow you to enter the first of a series of secret underground bunkers where you can unlock other rooms and acquire useful weapons and equipment.
Once you’ve got this card, you can head to the bunker located just north of the Shovel cave. Once there, use the shovel to dig up the entrance and uncover the bunker itself.
VIP Keycard
Use your maintenance card on the door with the keypad to progress when inside the bunker. You can then enter the next bunker, where you’ll find the VIP Keycard, which is a keycard that will let you go further inside the facility and unlock more doors.
Guest Keycard
After you’ve obtained the VIP keycard, you can proceed to the third location, where you can locate the Guest Keycard. This will be the central green blip on the map, and you can find it by following a small cave entrance to its end. You can head southwest across two rivers from the Guest Keycard location until you reach a green map marker that marks another cave. Follow this passageway to its end, and you’ll find a room with a 3D printer in it.
Once you’ve reached the end of this cave, you can then head to the final area, where you can find the final Sons of The Forest keycard. This night club area features a bar with a table where you can obtain the Guest Keycard.
