All Weapons in Wild Hearts

Wild Hearts‘ arsenal of weapons gives players plenty of options to choose from, and each of these unique weapons can be crafted in a variety of ways through the game’s expansive weapon inheritance system.

  1. The Karakuri Katana is a versatile close-range weapon that can unleash rapid light attacks and powerful chain combos. It also has an Unbound state that increases damage output, and once the weapon gauge is full, it can be reshaped into a barbed blade that deals additional damage to enemies. As a close-range weapon, the Karakuri Katana is ideal for tackling Kemono in close quarters. It can deal a lot of damage and is very easy to use. However, it has limited ammunition, so it needs to be carefully managed. Its temperature gauge must be monitored, and it can overheat and stop working when too many shots have been fired. Keeping a Ki Base nearby can help you regain ammo and cool down your weapon.
  2. The Bladed Wagana is another weapon to look out for in Wild Hearts, which uses a Japanese paper umbrella to defend against monster attacks. It’s the first weapon we’ve seen in action since a lengthy gameplay trailer, and it looks like it’ll be a great addition to the Wild Hearts arsenal.
  3. The Bow is the other ranged weapon in the game, and it’s a popular choice for many hunters. It shoots Haya arrows that stick in monsters, but the more advanced Otoya arrows can be held down to detonate them and unleash massive damage. You can also bolster this ranged weapon with the Y/Triangle attack to deliver more powerful attacks.
  4. The Karakuri Staff is probably the best weapon in the game, thanks to its ability to switch between four different forms. Each of these mutations offers a different set of attack inputs and a range of damage outputs. For example, the Long Staff form will deal heavy damage over a wide area, and the Twin Fang will allow you to perform quick close-range cleaves. It also has a meter that can be charged up to unlock powerful finishers, allowing you to unleash devastating multi-slash combos. It’s a weapon that’s very versatile and easy to use, making it ideal for beginners in the game. However, it also has some flaws, like its limited range and the fact that it takes a while to charge up each time you use it. Despite this, the Staff is one of the most popular weapons in Wild Hearts, and it’s definitely worth trying out. It’s an interesting weapon that can be used in a variety of ways and is especially useful for players who like to change their styles throughout the game.
  5. The Claw Blade is another popular weapon that’s extremely versatile, allowing you to teleport through the air or grapple opponents with it. Getting right can be tricky, but it can be incredibly deadly once you do. It’s also a great weapon to practice with if you want to learn to dodge monster attacks, which can be challenging.
  6. Nodachi is another weapon that can be difficult to master, specializing in slow, heavy strikes. It does a lot of damage and has good range, but its mobility can be limiting. It also has a mid-combo flash that allows you to extend the handle and increase damage for a new stage of the combo, but it requires smart timing.
  7. The Hand Cannon is another challenging weapon but can be devastating when used correctly. It can overheat and need to be carefully managed, but it is the most damaging of the ranged weapons in the game. It has limited ammunition, so it needs to be paired with short breaks that allow you to reload your weapon.
  8. The Maul is the most powerful of the group, with a wide range of combos. It has high-impact Attack 1 blows, high-mobility Attack 2 strikes, and Special Strikes that demolish adjacent Kemono and Karakuri at the expense of Stamina. Using the Special Attack command after Attack 1 or 2 will extend the handle of the Maul, enhancing its performance and offering new combo paths.
